Pamela Moyer, CLT, LMT

Welcome! I’m the owner and operator of Haven Spa & Wellness Studio. I was originally licensed as an LMT and skincare specialist. I recently decided to expand my skillset into medical applications. As a Manual Lymphatic Drainage therapist (MLD) trained in the Vodder Technique, I provide relief of very low grade edema, headaches and migraines, or swelling from non-acute injuries. MLD is also a great option for detoxing after a long night (we’ve all been there), or overindulgence during vacationing.

As a Certified Lymphatic Therapist (CLT), I can also provide Complete Decongestive Therapy for treatment of lymphedema. Read more about that here.

Insurance

We do not accept insurance. However, we can provide medical documentation and receipts for reimbursement from your insurance company. Insurance reimbursement depends entirely on your insurance company, so we recommend calling them first to be sure they will accept receipts from our facility. Full payment is due at the time of service.

More Info on MLD

Manual Lymphatic Drainage can be used for minor edema, pain relief, or swelling during pregnancy or after surgery. MLD was developed by Dr. Vodder, and you may hear that therapists were trained in the “Vodder Technique.” The Vodder Technique is the most common method of MLD, though other methods can be equally effective. MLD is a part of Complete Decongestive Therapy, which is performed by someone who is a Certified Lymphatic Therapist.

More On CDT

Complete Decongestive Therapy is a treatment plan that includes MLD, as well as compression, exercises, and education for after care. This is targeted specifically for post-surgical applications, or treatment of lymphedema. For more info, read this.

If you have questions about your specific issues, and whether or not lymphedema therapies can help, email hello@ilovehaven.com or text us at 850.752.0089. I will respond as soon as I can!

Booking

Do not book this service if you have serious heart conditions, history of congestive heart failure, acute injury or infection, or renal failure. There are other conditions that may be prohibitive, so please reach out at hello@ilovehaven.com if you have serious medical conditions, diagnosed or undiagnosed. With any conditions, it is always best to get approval from your doctor for MLD.
